While I am doing it it doesn't bother me at all but the next day I wake up and step on it...It's like I have to take it easy because of the pain I feel when I put my weight on it. It doesn't kill me to step on it but it doesn't feel good either. Oh I started off only doing a little over a mile but now I usually do 2 miles or more, depending on how I feel. Thanks for any advice/help in advance. I don't want to give this up because its already helped me to drop 3lbs so far...Thanks again.

  1. the reason why your foot hurts is because your foot does not used to running 2 miles. what happen is that the muscles in your foots are adjusting to the extra miles an presser, continue to do what you are doing an it will go away don't stop if you stop an start again it will only come back keep running the 2 miles an it will take a few days to go away

  2. make sure you stretch before and after your run and be wearing good running shoes.

  3. You could either have one leg that's longer than the other, which is normal, and you would have to get orthotics to put in your running shoes.

You could have flat feet and one arch is different than the other

You could be putting more weight or running weird on that one foot and cuasing more pressure

You really need to consult a coach, trainer, doctor, etc. to find out the actual problem, so maybe go to the nearest athletic store and get some gel arches...they are tiny, and they stay cool, and feel really good. Put your feet in an ice bath after running. Massage your feet.

Remember, any pain at all during running is NOT GOOD....you need to take care of every pain, or it could become serious. I thought that my hip pain wasn't a big deal. It turned out that my whole pelvis was completely out of place, I had flat feet, and my left leg was shorter than the other. After physical therapy, orthotics, and bottles of Ibuprofen, I am proud to say I am running and loving it.

Take care of your body....it's telling you things for a reason!
