Ahhhh crapp!

i just tryed to dye my hair darker with a dark brown dye i bought from sallys beauty supplies. The lady at the store helped us and gave great direction. I just put the dye in..and took it out and it turned a brass color gold or blonde! omg. Could it be it overprocessed cause i left it in too long? if i go back to the store tomorrow and buy a darker color and try to re-dye it...will it be normal again?!? picture day is friday...so holy c**p please please help me!!

  1. go to the place.

    ask them what went wrong.

    and have them help you.

    they will know.

  2. Ok, if your hair goes lighter when you tried to dye it darker, then something wasn't right with the dye!  Either you got the wrong color or you didn't mix it correctly or something!  Leaving in a dark color shouldn't lighten your hair no matter how long you leave it in.

I'd say go to a salon and have them correct it.

Sally's usually has color applicants that you need buy separately and assemble yourself.

Buy a complete kit (I like Garnier) and follow the directions carefully!  Re-dying so soon on your own isn't recommended, but in a pinch I'd wait until Thursday to do this so your hair has time to mellow out a bit.

    Then apply lots of conditioner.

  3. u have 2 wait a month b4 u dye it again!

  4.    Sounds like you didn't leave the dye on your hair long enough. If your hair is lighter than the color you purchased then u should have left it in at least 20-30 mins. If you left it on the full time then it could be that the base color is gold and didn't go with your org. color, you may need a brown/ash base. Go to a Salon for corrective color, if you should keep putting color over color you can damage your hair more.

Usually only the Sally's Manager is a cosmetologist and should know colors.
