I just tried skimboarding, and now i want to buy a skimboard but idk which kind, help please?

so i just recently went to the beach with my friend and he had a skimboard and i tried it and i like it and now i wanna get one. but idk which one i should get. i hear there's the kind for sand skimming and one for wave skimming and i was wondering if there was a cheap kind around 100 dollars that i could use for both? and if not, what's a good wave skimboard for around 100 dollars? thanks

yes, mine as well get one over $100 dollars, you get what you pay for. fiberglass is ALWAYS better at EVERYTHING for skim boarding, don't think wood boards are terrible, its just that this sport has been around for 50+ years, companies know what they are doing.

Zap Wedge is good beginner wave skimboard. If it cost too much, then buy victoria foamie (around $130 online). Check out skimonline.com , they have everything you need to know about skimming.
