Ive just finished my first year of an undergraduate degree at university, i passed 7 units and failed 1, i retook that one last week, I'm hoping it went well but a part of me doesn't think it did, (its the hardest exam, and i dont think i revised enough because my mum was in hospital for some of the time, had an operation and i had to look after the kids, they are 1, 2, 4 and 6, i still am looking after them)

I have looked at my results for the other units and even with this unit as a fail i still have the overall percentage that they say you need to pass to year 2

So what i want to know is, willi be allowed to go on to year 2 if i have failed again, and be able to just take that unit next year with the stuff for year 2, i have it planned and i think i could do it

Or would i have to retake the whole year just for one exam which seems stupid to me

If any of you know what is more likely to happen can you let me know, i have emailed my tutor twice but he hasn't gotten back to me

Thanks

  1. That is too bad for you regrading with your tutur who do not pay attention to you. About the academe, it is best that you refer it to the school administration for clarification. Some module is a pre-requisite, so you can  not move to year 2 if you failed this module.

So, check out with your coordinator or the DEAN when no choice!
