I just want to talk to someone who know the issue of retrogression, just want to ask advise?

I'm in the US right now with a under a tourist visa, I'm also a license nurse in the US and already have a petioner but the problem is the retrogression is not lifted yet.

what's the question? whether you can stay or work here while the visa is pending? nope, no can do. you will have to wait till the retrogression is over and even at that, you have to wait till they finish processing all of the applications that they received before yours. since that may take years, you will have to go back to your own country before your tourist visa expires.

you could try and get a work visa if you want... but it seems very hard to obtain and i think you still have to go home to process the visa unless it all can be done while your tourist visa is okay.
