I just won a bid on Ebay, but I don't want the item anymore, how do I cancel it?

You can only retract a bid if the auction is still going. If you have won the item there is nothing you can do. Maybe just write the person but I know they can report item not paid.

Dear Homer,

I suggest you to contact the auctioner about your situation. Hopefully s/he can understand and agree to cancel it, although to be honest I doubt that it works, but it's still worth to try.

Second alternative is to re-auction or sell the item to another bidder of that item, with lower price. Sure you lost money, but not much.

Keep it or sell it at pawn shop or Ebay, and/or you can give it to someone in  your family
