depending on how much you won get a lawyer, try to invest some in stocks and bonds,put money in CD's and buy a house. Spend you new found wealth wisely go with your gut instinct. Also do give into you have to take care of everyone because you are rich. you will just end up broke that way!

Take a deep breath and plan. First they will take taxes so you aren't getting as much as you think. Then think about long term goals. Depending on your age and how you selected to receive your prize will determine when you get your money. If you get a lump sum, you will plan different than if you get yearly payments. You need to budget just like with a job. Spending without thinking can land you in trouble with the IRS, bankruptcy, foreclosure etc. Map out your big goals and space out big purchases. Then use the set amount you have decided on for splurge spending on anything you want!
