I keep coming up with "download plugins" what are they and how do I know what I need and where to get them?

  1. Plug ins are extra features that integrate into the main program which helps the main program function better. The main plug ins for a browser include a pdf viewer( which you get from adobe) and a video codec (which allows you to watch video and depending on what video it is determines what to download) I am assuming you are using a web browser and that is the program which prompts to download plugins. If it is a web browser than you should see a pop up or bar right under the tab section that prompts you to download a plug in. Right click on that and usually it says download plug in. If that does not work than make note of which plug in it is and google that plug in and the first web result is usually the one you need to download.
