I keep dreaming of the same person?

I keep dreaming of the same person every couple of months. He and I attempted to date several times with no success. Now we don't really talk, when we do see each other at all, all we do is fight...we have both moved on and we are both seeing other people. It's been over 2 years...why do I keep dreaming about him??? always the same in the dreams we are together proving a point to each other and others that we can do it and we can be together what's up with that????

you seem to have unresolved issues with the situation. when you wake up before going to make coffee sit down and write three pages on anything. rip it up when your done nobody has to read it unless you want them to. this may help with unearthing some emotional blockage. good luck
