I keep dreaming w/ my old boss?

He fired me b/c i was 'incompetent' at work. I didnt argue with him, i just sighed and left, in a way i was happy to have been let go.

I was fired maybe 7 years ago? I moved on and am now working w/ my dad and brother, we've got a pretty successful company. Also since that job i've earned an mba and have become more mature and gained a good understanding of how to work effectively, etc.

I never confirmed this but i believe my old boss was suffering from depression and i also believe that he was an alcoholic.

Anyway just a night or 2 ago i had a dream with him, it was not the first time (but i cannot remember the other dreams, i only remember ive dreamt w/ him b4) and at work somehow i found out or got the impression he was gonna fire me so i quit before he could and in the dream he got all mad and started telling me i was a bad employee, and i combatted him by saying he was a bad boss. whats the deal w/ that? I'd prefer to not dream about him but rather w/ s**y babes...

I think being fired upset you worse than you will admit to yourself.  At times when you're at work now, and feel you are not doing your best, the thought of your old boss probably crosses your mind.  This thought gets stuffed into your subconscious mind and then is released through these dream.

You said you moved on, but I think that it still bothers you.  Instead of thinking he was an alcoholic and blaming him just accept it and find peace. Like you said it was a relief when it happened.  Sometimes we see things as bad when they happen only to find out they were the best thing that could happen.

The dreams of him will stop when you really believe that it was no ones fault and let it go.
