Lev Alburt suggests doing about 4 problems in 10 minutes I think to get rid of the tunnel vision. I'm usually playing a good game then I just blunder. I want to fix this.

  1. just try to practice more, also I have found that if I play Chess on my ipod (yes I know it is a bit of money) it really helps because it has a quiz mode that makes you get out of situations like that and helps you think strait so you can play better, the only bad thing is that the players are really hard.

  2. well you need to look ahead of you, when your oppenant is moving, you can analize for a second and during a second your mind is thing of the position, you make better moves but i recommend long and slow chess....more time to think and you can make great moves that make you checkmate faster.

  3. There is no magic bullet for the dropsies.

I used to suggest sitting on your hands to students to force a extra few seconds to retrieve the hand.

I'd suggest dropping the speed chess while you are young and developing habits.

  4. Hold on to it harder, and don't eat greasy foods while playing.

  5. Maybe you should practice more

  6. chessmaster "grand master edition"

has an exercise that help u to practice speed and accurate in the board, the example is like this

there planty of opossite color piezes and u need to move ur queen to a save square in a time that is running against u

  7. look before you move

thats all you can really do
