  1. you have to dive on your knees that is why you have kneepads

    Keep practicing!!!!!

  2. You shouldn't have to dive on your knees if your weight is always on the balls of your feet. ALWAYS keep your knees bent - and spread fairly wide. Keep one foot in front of the other when playing defense. The foot that is in FRONT is the leg closest to your nearest side line. This rotates your shoulders naturally so when you DO pass the ball, the majority of your pass will be toward the middle of the court.

If you're falling on your butt, then you're falling away from the ball and your weight is on your heels. You should be stretched out fully, leading with your arms and hands, and landing on your upper thighs and stomach - sliding across the floor on impact.

Granted, knee pads should be worn for those cases where you tuck under and slide on your knees. If you aren't sliding, then your knee pads are the wrong kind. But you really need to depend on quick reactions and be willing to attack the ball - stay low and think "short."

  3. I think you should practice.  The best way is in a game.  We did drill in practice, but they didnt help at all.  Just try to lunge foward to hit the ball!  Good luck!

  4. practice having someone through a ball near your feet with your knee pads on, get used to digging the ball in front of youe not behind you!

  5. ok if your falling on your rear and not your knees...your doing something wrong..sooo...lets me help you

heres how you are suposed to dive! lol

    1) get in your stance- 1 foot infront of the other with your reer down.

    2) no you are gonna push off your back foot and land on your front legs knee pad and slide!!!!

    3) then you are gonna roll over on your back.

40 take your left legg and cross it over your right leg and pull yourself up!!!

  6. what you do is pick up your one foot and fall on your side and extend. learned them on friday!

  7. sorry, I am not completely sure what you are saying. I think you are saying that you are subconciously afraid to dive on ur knee pads. If thisbe the problem, have a partner throw "shorts" to you  (balls that are too short, meaning that u have to dive for them), so that you can practice over and over agian on your dive. Also, this will help you to remember to dive on your knee pads, and it is a very good opprotunity to practice bumping the ball back up into the air, when you are on the ground.

    Good Luck!

  8. you need to practice...but your also thinkin to much...get your knee pads dirty...it shows that you put a lot of work into your game...you can always wash them

  9. lol u need to practice

    haha

    =]

    itttll work dont worrie

best of luck. my wishes toya.!!

  10. I think that u need to learn how to dive on ur side or ur stomach but remember that the best way to not hurt yourself is by sliding no just hitting the floor ok

    Goodluck

  11. well your not really supposed to fall on your knees anyways..the kneepads are there just in case

diving is really a last resort you should be able to get to the ball in time and if you have to dive then you dive to the side towards the ball and fall on your hip/rear area...its easier to explain if you can see it

  12. If you are extending right you shouldnt even need Knee Pads.

My team doesnt even wear them. You should never fall to your knees, thats doing it incorrectly.
