I keep feeling this sensation like I'm not in my body. what could be causing it?

Okay no drink or drugs involved, just out of the blue it happens. A bit scary but not unplesant....almost feels like I'm floating away from my body.

I feel like that too and when that person hurts them self i feel the pain but i dont know how it works or who it is. Just in random air i get punched and kicked when no-one is there. No drugs nothing. Im putting this in private Watchlist

Sounds like an out of body experience.  I've had them a few times but only when I'm asleep and I leave my body and can look down on myself then I go back again.  No drugs or alcohol involved! I know a lot of people don't believe in this so called "rubbish" but you have to open your mind to the possibility.  Even so I would see your doctor because there may be an underlying reason.

I get that feeling just before I have a Migrane, its like i feel my mind and body are detached, but then the blindness and headaces come and makes me feel bad, so the "outer body" feeling is short lived.

We normally feel out of body and out of mind, when we're taking drugs.

IF your serious, this could be a serious disorder called "duo-sexual", its rare but REAL

Its where your mind and your body do not match and do not coincide with each other.

Talk to a Psychiatrist about it.
