I keep getting pinched nerves or "kinks" in my neck. Some are not as bad as others but the last time i got one was the night before I went to Medical processing for the military. It was a bad experience. Ive had about 3 or 4 since then. How do i prevent them? Im leaving for boot camp soon and am hoping i dont get them while im there.

Here is a trick for boot camp pains,, and you will have them!!

fill a gym sock up with dry cooking rice

    tie off the end

microwave on high for 60-90 sec.

check to make sure it's not to hot

    apply to where it hurts

and in boot camp that will be many places!!  lol  good luck and be proud

  2. You can get this from excessive tension, holding the head in a stiff position for long periods of time, any repetitive act involving the arms.I get what I call lightning that throbs up my neck so painfully that my eyes tear up.

Take neck stretching breaks. Turn your head to the right as far as you can.. very slowly... guiding and pushing your left cheek with the fingers of your left hand. Hold for 30 seconds. Now turn your head to the left with the right hand etc. You might notice that your head won't turn very far to the left or right because the muscles are so tense. After performing the stretching exercise gently for a few days

your neck rotation will improve. Also try touching your chin to your chest and holding for 30 seconds.
