I keep getting annoying phone calls and knowone ever answers when dialling 1471 the person or persons who last

phoned was 01111. Does anyone have any idea who these people are.

speak to your phone provided and ask for that number to be blocked so that they can't call you.

Strange calls like that are usually automated telephone machines that call people and send them messages

There was another BT advised me to register with but can't remember what they were called.

This number is being sent either a VoiP (Internet phone) or a call centre.

Very annoying and hard to stop too. Join TPS for sure, this will cut down on the number of calls you get.

The only other thing you can do is use choose to refuse, and stop calls from 01111.

Dunno who they are but if you phone by internet, you can make the number that comes up appear as anything.  I was getting a few recently and called my phone company to discuss. They couldn't tell me much except be careful who you give your number to, online or otherwise...

The info I've found on teh interweb suggests it's a telemarketing machine that's calling to see what time of day you answer... that info is passed onto whoever and they then know what time of day you're likely to answer your phone, and make their sales calls appropriately.
