I keep getting genital herpes outbreaks- what am I doing wrong and how can I stop this???

This is my third outbreak in 4 months and it is getting really annoying. For my second outbreak, the doctor gave me medicine for it (acyclovir), but now I have another outbreak a week later.

Do I worry too much??

I have not been changing my diet.

I got genital herpes from my husband in April, but since then he has had no outbreaks and I keep getting them.

What's wrong with me????

the more worry or stressful you are, the more it will come. Try to relax and think of it as though its nothing. But plz do get treatments for it, and if problems persist, i'd advice you go and get checked. Good Luck

There is nothing you can do. It sucks. Acyclovir is not the best medication for it though. Valtrex is the way to go. Acyclovir actually made things worse for me.

It could be your immune system is a bit week or are you getting them at the same time every month. That is quite common with cold sores which is a similar virus.  This is a serious lifetime affliction and you need to get more advice from a medical source.

regarding recommendation for Herpecet: This is a homeopathic preparation, can't even call it a medicine. Any relief homeopathic preparations provide is entirely from placebo effects.

Please dont worry!!! I am exactly the same, my doc gave me these tablets about a month ago and I seem to be having more outbreaks than ever and also feel uncomfortable like my glands swelling and sharp pains down below!!! I also noticed he was very reluctant to give them to me maybe this is the reason, there are other alternative medication out there so try another, even if genital herpes is not visual like on your husband he can still be passing his back on to you...if that makes sense or if your like me get stressed very easily
