  1. sometimes it takes 30 days for the DO NOT CALL to kick in..

Or change your number to unlisted.. Also watch who you give your number to online when ordering stuff or doing stupid

surveys that promise you things.. Too good to be true.. It usually is BEWARE!!

  2. You should say sorry wrong number or say sorry not interested or say What sorry can't hear you or hang up or say stop calling here i am not interestted

  3. any one that you do business with is not bound by the do not call list... if you go to a store and they ask for your phone number, you are basically giving them permission to call you... your phone, cable, utility companies, etc can call you for promotions that they may have, you can opt out of these...

surveys, political calls, and charities are exempt from the do not call registry... and finally... BILL AND DEBT COLLECTORS ARE EXEMPT from the do not call registry...

when the bill collector agency calls ask to speak to a supervisor, advise them that you do not know who the person they are seeking is, and that you want your name removed from there list, advise them that you have received several calls from there company, and any further calls a complaint with the BBB will be filed, keep a record of names, numbers, time and date of any and all calls...  there may be several collections companies calling, so you may have to do this with each one individually

  4. This has been happening to us for three years. I've tried everything as well. I always ask to speak to their manager and explain it to him/her and request they document this conversation in the account's records.
