I keep getting private calls on my cell phone and im wondering what is a privatre call?

you need to make sure also on your next bill that you are not being charged for these incoming calls.

got a private call today, and it turned out to be a drug store..

Whenever I get a so called private call, it is a number that I have not entered into my address book --  it is usually the Kaiser Hospital automated reminder of a scheduled appointment that I have. I gave my cell phone number to my doctors and also my husbands doctors.  My husband seldom turns his cell phone on.-- only when he wants to call someone. Then he turns if off again and cannot even receive a response that way.  (I have tried to tell him his procedure is not the standard or a polite cell phone practice but he will not change.)  Sometimes it is a friend calling me from a phone I have not listed in my address book.

Private calls are from unlisted numbers generally. If you know someone who has this kind of numbers and uses it to call you then no harm, but otherwise I'd not answer period. There may be a way to block them so check with customer service about this.
