  1. change your number.

  2. Call her and explain the situation.

  3. ignore it dont pick it up

  4. It's not uncommon for a cell phone number to be duplicated by different providers. Have your number changed.

  5. Well you should probably answer if and when she calls again; or even call her instead. Let her know she must have made some mistake for you know no brian and your name is not brian and your debt is under control.

  6. answer it and correct her.

  7. block the number or pick up and tell them its the wrong number..

    hope this helps! :)

  8. There is a website that you could take your name off the sales call list. Just look it up on Google and they will have it. I tried before. And it really works. There is also a phone number but ill have to look it up. Just look up the first thing.

  9. When I got my phone number I got calls for a person named Carrisa. The next time Maggie calls either answer the phone or call her number and leave her a message explaining that maybe Brian switched phone numbers and you are not him.

  10. Just try and see what time she usually calls, and try to see if you can catch her. Tell her that this IS NOT brian and that she has the wrong number! be sure to be very clear, or she will keep calling.

  11. Debt collectors are very persistent.  You need to either answer the phone when they call or return the phone call.  Let them know you are not the person they are looking for and ask them not to call again.  Make sure you get the person's name, the agency name, and their rep # (if they have one).  Also ask for their mailing address.  Document the call in writing, and if they continue, you can send them a letter notifying them they are in violation of state and federal law.  You can sue them in small claims court for $2,000 each offense if they continue calling after you've asked them not to.

  12. Answer the call and tell them they've got the wrong number.
