Question:

I keep getting white lumps at the back of my throat that are really sore?

does anyone know what this is? they get really sore and my doc keeps giving me antibiotics which tak them away but they just end up coming back a few days after i finish the course.

  1. You should see a doctor that specializes in Ear, Nose & Throat.  You could possibly have tonsillitis or strep throat.

It sounds like strep.  Your doctor should have your whole family go in for strep testing, even the ones that don't look sick.  Sometimes there are people that are carriers that have the virus but don't really get sick.  Every time you get better, that same person gives it right back to you.  This happened to me.  My doctor decided to test my whole family and found that my brother was a carrier even though he wasn't showing symptoms.  If it's not someone in your family they might end up taking your tonsils out.

  3. Make sure you throw your toothbrush away when you end the antibiotics.  That solved our kids constant strep throats one winter.
