I was sleeping in my living room, because we were painting my room, and my head was almost completely covered up with the cover. I was on the verge of sleep when I turned my head left and noticed light streaming in through my eyelids. It happened in an instance but, I opened my eyes and noticed a light hovering in my cover. I immediately thought that it was the light from the bathroom shining through a hole in the comforter, but right when I finished the thought, the light silently exploded out, and when it did it heated my body, which was odd considering I was sleeping inches away from the air conditioner.

The same thing almost happened last night ! I was sleeping in the living room again, in the same spot, around the same time, when I noticed the light from under the cover. My head wasn't under it and I was completely awake. I immediately threw it across the room. Both were around the same time, and I felt a presence in the room afterwards. Anyone know what's happening?

  1. I don't know but i think that next time you sleep in there ask some body to watch.  or if you have a camcorder try to record it. I my self do believe in aliens and if thay are watching you there is nothing you can do

  2. I am thinking you are having hypnogogic hallucinations. Your mind is completely awake, but your body is actually going into sleep mode.

It happens a lot when people change sleeping conditions. Its common in narcilepsy and other sleeping disorders.

edit: If you are an insomniac, then I would say you definitly are having these hallucinations.

  3. I have had similar experiences with light too.  I seen a 4 light ceiling fan light up completely with 3 out of the 4 bulbs in it and someone snapping there fingers right behind my head.  No one was in the room with me and I never returned to that room!  I don't believe in aliens, however, ghosts do exist and the bible speaks of evil spirits in Matthew, Mark, Luke when Jesus drove them out of people.

  4. Yes,you're dreaming.Ghost-lights get frisky around bed-time.It's no coincidence.

  5. Without sleep, the human mind can create a dreamlike state.  In which everything may seem completely real.  It's not healthy to not sleep.  You could be making yourself crazy.  Go to a sleep institute.

  6. Your dreaming while you're awake.

  7. Remember, it is you who are having an experience

You're a smart guy, set up some control tests. If it is happening regularly, then you should be agble to get to the truth and not let other idiots dump their beliefs on you.

It may be nothing or you may never see it again but you have an open mind so you may find out something pretty interesting.

Be carefrul because if it actually is a light source, it can have energy and you won't know how much.

I was sitting in my truck at a light and this huge ball of light appeared right out my window and then it exploded. It was so violent that my head hit the roof of the cab. The noise was louder than a gunshot.

There was a flash when it exploded but not super bright like a flash or anything, it just went boom and was gone.My window was open and it was a few feet from me so it wasnt some fireworks or I would have gotten hit by shrapnel. It was just a light.

  8. You might try setting up a video camera to see if you can capture anything.

  9. I agree with Zach and Wushu that this isn't anything paranormal. The feeling of heat is really a psychosomatic thing, and can also be brought on the body's natural reaction to feelings of fear or panic. "Feeling a presence" is also really a power of suggestion kind of thing, and it can be exacerbated by certain conditions (anxiety or fear).
