I keep hearing about our paper currency becoming worthless and this really has me worried. I have a little over $251,000 in a Brokerage fund. Would it be a wise decision to pull all of my money out of there and convert it to gold bullion or buy a bunch of gold coins? I seen that the price for an ounce of gold is around $700 now. Will it keep going up?

  1. Please do it, and I'll buy all of your gold for $750 an ounce, so you can make like $50 bucks an ounce off me.

  2. I have 20% of my networth in gold bullion and about 3% in silver bullion

I think the dollar is going to become worthless over the next few years but I wouldn't liquidate my stock holdings just because of that. invest in foreign companies/currrencies instead.

  3. I'd suggest putting your cash into resources... This is the beginning of a period of time when hedging makes sense. The US govt is printing paper money like there's no tommorow.

  4. No my friend thats a different issue. I think investing in Forex is a best option. your currency would be in an electronic form and you can anytime play with it.

  5. I am not worried about the dollar becoming worthless.  I am leaving my six figure portfolio in the market.  But if this does trouble you greatly, you could take 5 - 10% of your portfolio & buy gold bullion.

Having said that, don't be suprised if your gold declines in value.  Gold & precious metaIs may well be at their highs.
