Someone check my math here, but isn't that pretty much because that's where all the good food is?

  1. Amen!

<<<<<southern girl, now pass me the gravy and buscuits!

  2. I've heard about all this strange Southern food like

    Biscuits and gravy??

    Grits??

    Shlitz??

Can someone please tell me wtf they are!!

    <~~~ Confused in Wales

  3. Leroy's not lying about the midwest!

    <--Midwestern porker

Hmmm, maybe I should move to the south where I can be the "skinny" girl! HA!

  4. Yes, your math is dead on accurate.

  5. yeah...?

  6. Well isn't that where they invented the deep-fried Snickers Bar after all?

  7. AND the good men.  **makes you a fresh batch of biscuits** ♥

  8. I moved from New Zealand to the South (and no, it "shall NOT rise again") and yes, the food is exceptional.  I live in far West Texas now and the people are extremely overweight.  I have never seen a city that has more portly individuals than El Paso, Texas.  They are next to Cuidad Juarez and hence, they have truly authentic Mexican food as well as the Southern "comfort food".

  9. dude, you ever been to the midwest?

  10. Most of that is stereotypical. Just because you live in the south, doesn't mean you're fat (i live in the north, so i am not just saying that). Houston tops as the fattest city, probably because people eat a lot of barbeque and other fatty foods. Out of the top 10 fattest cities, 6 of them are the south, so based on fact, it could be true.

  11. <<,----- Proud to be a Fluffy Southern Girl

I am havin' buscuts and gravy with B.E.G.....then it is LUNCH time!

  12. haha. yeah probs but they don't need that 3rd bucket of fried chicken.

  13. you bet Billy....its also where the hottest women are......

  14. <------  SO not fat.

  15. sure

  16. there are fat folks all over the world.

  17. South as in Texas and Louisianna? Yep! But I'm from Georgia and there aren't really huge people here. Maybe some, but I'd say our sizes are average. But we also shop at Farmer's Markets and make a lot of things from scratch.

-Grits are made from corn, they are white and grainy. We flavor them with butter and salt & pepper or with butter and sugar, sometimes syrup.

-Biscuits and gravy are homestyle biscuits cut in half and topped in sausage gravy.

And I don't know wtf a schlit is...

  18. No! New York has all the best food!! But whatever, all my Southern contacts are yummy.
