When I was in Kuwait it hit 152 degrees F measured on a wetbulb thermometer in July 2007 by our U.S, Military Preventive Medicine Team. It was regularly 142 - 146 F. The Kuwaiti Governmentdoes not record the temperatures at this level because it means that they must stop all construction in the country. Not reporting it officially is a loophole. So the Kuwaiti's just post it lower. This may explain the recording of Temperature below 140's which regularly occur in this part of the world.

  1. The record temps are measured with a dry bulb, not a wet one.
