I keep on going through phases of dreaming about my ex....need help?

Every now and then I have dreams about my ex. Because it ended quite suddenly (about 5 months ago now) due to distance as it was a long distance relationship. To me it was sudden but my ex said she gave me many chances and couldnt cope anymore in the unknown. We were together for about 1.5 - 2 years. I always dream that im trying to show her my love for her and how much I care about her and she (in the dream) either ignores me or tells me stuff like i never really cared for you etc etc... But when we were together it was never like that, do you think im having these dreams because I feel she didnt give me a proper chance to voice my feelings properlly when the break up happened? Also do other people have dreams about their ex after such a period of time?

That's a really good interpretation: that you feel that you never got a chance to voice your feelings properly. You might get some satisfaction from communicating them now- or you might just stir up a lot more emotions.

Typically- they say it takes half the time the relationship lasted to get over it... or twice the amount of time? Anyway- I still have dreams, sometimes, about exes from years ago. It takes a long time to get over some heartbreaks.
