Question:

I keep pinching myself.. How do I stop?

Every since I lost a lot of weight, any fat bodies that are left are kind of loose, so I can feel them individually. For about 2 months, I've been pinching my arm, popping and squeezing the fat bodies. I've given myself too many bruises to count, followed by a hematoma. My therapist & psychologist both call it self mutilation, but neither of them could help to make me stop. I know it's a very unusual problem, but I'm desperate enough that I'll listen to any answers I find.

  1. you could try to take some benedryl.

by the time it kicks in you'll be too tired to pinch.

then after doing it for a while...it won't be a habit anymore

  2. WTf, just stop pinching, you control your own arm, so all you do it not pinch!

  3. self mutilation is always tough... i have the habit of squeezing my belly fat too but not to the point of getting bruises... what if you tried to pinch less harder? its tough in the beginning but.. oh what if you tried to wear a corset? doesnt have to be very tight, just as a protection so you wouldnt be able to touch yout belly and try to forget about it. do you take antidepressants? that should help... well sorry if i give c**p advice, i have many bad habits of my own and cant get rid of them so im probably not the best person to tell you anything.
