Does peace and democracy mean we lost the war? Do any of you who spew this b.s. actually have anybody you know over there telling you what's really going on? I know you disagree with invading in the first place but to suggest that the war is lost only makes you look retarded.

  1. Does your blind allegiance to the AWOL 1st.Lt. from the TANG, mean that we won?

  2. First off settle down.

Second I thought the war was good at first because we had the right goals, but I think we should've been out there a few years ago. Now we are just destroying their civilization. We should help rebuild and then get out of there.

  3. There's peace in Iraq?  Really?

  4. well, if it's won, why don't we pack up and go home

  5. Typical "Blame America First" attitude by the Liberals.

How can anyone be rooting for their country to lose a war?

Saltiwater - If we lost, how come we are still there and violence is at an all time low?  See, this can go both ways.

  6. I agree that things have been coming up roses over there lately.  Clearly the surge was very successful.  More successful than I thought it would be.  The war is not lost but there is still a long way to go.

Actually, all the defeatist talk seems to have died down.  I haven't heard anyone say the war is lost in a while now.

  7. We invaded Iraq to find weapons of mass destruction and did not find them.  I've never said that we've lost the war although I have commented on the fact that I do not see what there is to win.

  8. If we lost, then why have we signed a deal for a final pull out? The Iraqi government and military is now strong enough that the last US troops are supposed to be out of Iraq within 16 months.

    How is that a loss?

  9. i don't understand your question but on a simular topic....

1,200,000 iraqie lives have been lost from their families because of the Bush oil war

but no one on yahoo question will know what is truely going on in iraq or the whitehouse

  10. What country are you looking at for peace? If people are still being killed on a daily basis due to the fact that security isn't as tight as it should be, I'd hardly call that peace. Democracy? I have yet to see any true democracy in Iraq.

I don't think the war is lost. However, it is far from over. Should troops be pulled out? Yes. Let the Iraqi people start taking control over their own country. They're making profits when the US government is paying for the reconstruction of their country. Enough is enough.

  11. They are only wishing and dreaming, America defeated is their lifes goal. Reality must not be allowed to interfere with reality.

Ask Japan or Germany if nobody ever wins a war, gee.

  12. Cite! I've not seen anyone say the war is lost. I have seen people say it's an expensive effort which should never have been started.

  13. You're right. There are no WMD or terrorists anymore!

    lol. loser.

  14. Did we win? How many years ago did we invade..I mean "liberate"?

  15. We as the people lost the war when Bush decided to launch the attack.

  16. ultimately, nobody wins in war

  17. Okay so if we won, can we go home now?  Why are the conservatives so against leaving if we have 'won' already?

Also, I don't call billions of American dollars in costs for this war, and billions in Iraqi supplus a victory.  Maybe your definiton of 'Victory in Iraq' is different.  If so, maybe Bush had it right when he first declared victory.  Can't wait to go to that new mall in Baghdad.  I'm sure they'll be selling all of the latest 'made in America' jeans.

  18. Liberals, like their friends the DemocRATS believe that if you repeat a lie often enough and loud enough you will win over whatever available fools to their side!  They would much rather lost the war than admit to their mistake...

  19. They watch CNN all the time and it tells them what they need to hear to promote their agenda.  IF they tell people that the war is ending positively for us then it will deflate their argument against it.  Its the same with everything else involving democrats.  They tell us how bad the economy so they can get into power yet when a republican president is in power they seem to throw the good news to the back page where it never gets read.

  20. I'll tell you what.

You go out and you gather up all the terrorism you can. Not terrorists, terrorism. Get it all together, and bring it to me, we'll destroy it and say it's over.

Oh wait, you can't. It's an ideology and intangible. That's probably why we say it's balony and can't be defeated with a gun.

  21. Let me ask you this then, would you go visit Iraq then without any sort of security precautions? Just walk down the streets everyday and explore the country as a tourist? If you can't do that, then there is no real peace in the country.

With that said, I don't think the war is either lost or won, because there is no tangible goal where we can say either has happened. But let us say you are right, if the war is won, we should leave the country right? Why have ~150,000 troops and god knows how many contractors in a country when we've already won the war?

I think you would have to fist come to some sort of consensus about what winning the war means before anyone can judge whether we done so.
