I kept in wondering of this...about the mirror...?

I dont know if this is just my perception,

the situation is this.. Im holding a small mirror.. true that mirror,that face in me , with a distance of one foot..

then when I look the distance of the object from by back..its appear like more farther compare to a distance of (distance of mirror to the object plus one foot)...

If the mirror is 1' from your eyes and an object is 8' from the mirror, the image should appear to be 9' away.

However, that's if you get out rulers and calipers and stuff.  Odds are there's going to be mental/perceptional effects going on as well, and a number of optical illusions could be responsible for making it look smaller/farther away than it should.  For instance, if the mirror is held in your hand, your hand may make you think whatever's in your hand is even smaller.
