Mumbai Indians' lower-order batsman, Robin Peterson, who played a 16-run cameo off six balls against Kings XI Punjab to help the side clinch a thrilling four-wicket win on the penultimate ball, said that his focus was to stay cool during the match
winning knock.
While chasing 168 in their return-leg Indian Premier League match against Punjab, played at the PCA Stadium, Mohali on Wednesday, Mumbai needed 32 runs off the last 12 balls when Peterson took the charge, scoring 15 runs off the first four balls in
the penultimate over, delivered by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Piyush-c82317 Chawla.
The South African reverse swept the first ball of the 19th over for a four before playing a switch hit for another boundary on the next delivery. The tThird ball of the over was then slog swept by the red hot Peterson for a six, which was
followed by a single.
Peterson’s partner, a little known local boy http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ambati-Rayudu-c1007, then struck the next two balls of the over for successive sixes to make it 27 off the penultimate over and leave Mumbai needing just five runs from the final over.
"I just tried to hit it as hard and as far as I could. I realised that it's best not to think too much in such situations and kept it really simple and stayed calm," Peterson said.

When asked about the controversial switch-hit, practiced by his former countryman http://www.senore.com/Cricket/KP-Pietersen-c1806 earlier in the tournament, the South African said that he had not even practiced the shot before and it was played by instinct.
"I had not practised them. But I am happy my innings helped the team win. It is nice to get over the line in such close games. The switch hit was played by instinct" said Peterson.
Though Mumbai lost a couple of quick wickets at the start of their chase, Peterson never thought his side was out of contest.
The left-hander, playing his first match for the Mumbai outfit this season, credited the four wicket win as well as his own knock to partner Ambati Rayudu. "Ambati must take credit for the way he played and the advice he gave me."
