This is like asking how many times a pitcher throws a baseball.

When practicing, during an hour, a player can hit thousands of balls.  They improve when they hit a number of balls A.  in the court B. with accuracy C. with reason and conviction.

Try hitting a ball against a wall 200 times and see how long that takes.

Some people rally with only one ball. If you're talking about how many times a player hits the ball, maybe at least a thousand if they're rallying with a ball basket.
