I'm trying to go into the web design career, but I'm trying to figure out what other coding languages I need to learn to create professional web pages?

  1. after html, php or python

    they are former languages to create cool webpages today


  2. Learn Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) first.  That will make your pages nicer.

    Learn javascript.  That will give you some programming experience and you can make your pages more alive.

    Learn HTTP

    Flash is nice technology to learn.  

    Familiarize yourself with web servers like Apache or Tomcat.

    For the real fun (and real money) learn programming languages.  C, C++, Java, Php, Python, Perl, Ruby, and C# are all good choices.  

    Beyond that SQL and databases;  A little about networking helps.

  3. JavaScript

    XML / XSLT

    CSS

    PHP and/or ASP.net

    SQL

    If you know these (in addition to HTML), you'll be set for a decent job. Even with just HTML and JavaScript, you'll be ahead of many people.
