I know I don't have rights as a Godmother but what if the child is not being taking care of properly by parent

If they are young parents then you can talk with them or teach them the right way to care for a child. Lead by example I always say. But if the wellbeing of the child is in danger...then you may have to take it a step further and notify the authorities. Not so that they come in and remove the child; maybe there is a community resource agency in your area that will send someone out to check in on the situation. Help is definitely needed, but don't offend the parents because they may retaliate towards the child.

I would say something to the parents. If that doesn't work say something to the grandparents. If that doesn't work call child protecting. Are the being abused or severely neglected? If not then i don't think there is a problem. Just because a person is not taking care of a child the same way you would does not make them bad parents but i guess we don't know the situation.

If you know that the child is being abused, neglected, or both.....

You must call the proper authorities.
