I am trying to find out how the green jacket was decided on. Why green? Im just now learning a little about golf and am curious about that. Thanks.

Green jackets are actually the official attire of the members at Augusta National, and once a player wins The Masters, they are considered members of Augusta National.

I'm not sure why it's green, but it's been a tradition since 1949.
