I did my taxes online and I know I owe MD state, I do not know how much and if I have penalty charges now, how can I look that up, and how can I pay them?

  1. You should probably call the MD Department of Revenue.  They should be able to give you the total amount that you owe, and perhaps put a hold on additional penalties and interest if you submit your payment in full by a certain date.  Their website address is:

    www.marylandtaxes.com

It looks like you can even make your payment online.

    Hope this helps!!

  2. Call the state.

Use www.taxadmin.org to get to the link to your state.

At the very least, you should know the amount of tax you owe.  Send that, adding 1% per month to the total plus, say, $10.  That should put you over the top.  (I'm guessing at interest and penalties, using the federal amounts and hoping you filed on time.  If you filed late, it's way more.)
