I know a bachelors degree takes 4 years, is that including the 2 years for an AA?

I am doing an online class and was told 2 years for an AA and 4 for a bachelors, but is it for years including your AA or the 2 years plus 4?

Including, and you don't need an AA certificate to get a bachelor's, just the credit hours and required classes, in an accredited college...many on-line are not.  (college professor)
