They order new textbooks every year because they change grades every year, therefore they need a new one. Anyhow, I'm close friends and they gave me all the books they had stored in the basement to give to a charity. It science, social studies, math, reading and writing all only 1 year worth used. Grades 1-7 right now. I think it's hard to find a charity that only accepts a few of the books. Can anyone find one? Thanks again.

  1. Look up "Toys for Tots".  I am sure they, besides collecting toys for youngsters, will gladly accept books for them as well.  Also, check your local grocery store--many have locations where you can drop off unused books that are donated and taken care of from there.  Additionally, you can go to a library and ask the faculty there.  Most library workes are educated in bookkeeping services and charities that accept these books.

    Good luck!

  2. Look in your local phone book for "thrift stores".  Those are usually operated by non-profits that should take the books.
