  1. I bet you don't even have a good reason to hate rats.

    Just so you know.

    1) They rarely, and I mean RARELY bite with the intention of taking a chunk out of your skin.

    2) They are actually a lot cleaner than hamsters, rabbits, and probably even cats!

    3) They are social, not only with other rats, but with Humans. They can form actual relationships with their owners, just like a cat.

    4) It won't hurt to give it a try.

Like someone else said, my mother hated the idea of having rats in the house, and didn't want them around. I got them anyways, and now she checks on them when I'm not home, and worries about my Penelope because she so fat and she has lung problems.

    It's not a "rodent" it's a "pet"

stray cats can get just as mangy as stray rats.

it's all about where they live.

a cat living in a house, is obviously not a threat.

    same goes for a rat.

    they are tame, and nice.

if you don't try to play with it then you'll never know how they really are.

    Goodluck.

Trust me, it's not worth losing a job over.

  2. Get over it. Hate rats all you want, but accept the fact that it's a pet in their household.

It's kept in a cage, it's not like it can do anything!

  3. are you serious?!?!?! Really? well i'm sorry i have no answer for you

  4. You may hate non domesticated rats. Domesticated rats are like a different animal. I have heard that they can cuddle, and they are very friendly. Why dont you ask to play with it, and then you will get used to it.   Just give them a chance.

  5. either try to get over it or just try to hold her with something over your hands to try to maybe become friends with it. Hope that helps.

  6. how about  tell the parents  to  put  it  in  another  romm  in  the  cage  and  close  the  door

  7. theyre not that bad, trust me

my mother hated rats and when i asked for them she abruptly said no. but she warmed up to them and now loves them almost as much as i do. you have to give them a chance, they have an undeserved reputation. they are actually sweet little darlings. they love to be held and will groom you. next time you baby sit her, be brave and ask to hold the rat and play with it. it will help you get used to it, and you wont be freaked out by it anymore
