I know a young girl who would like to help people when she works.?

Since she doesn't want to go become a nurse, one day when I was watching a movie where girls were answering phones to help people who called 911 with their emergencies, I immediately thought about her. My question is does anyone know if these girls get paid or is this just volunteer work?

911 operators are paid. That job sounds way too serious to have volunteers doing it. My sister in law has been a 911 operator for years and she says it's a stressful job!
