  1. Have s*x and walk, worked with my 1st.

  2. s*x

    Food

    Nipple Stimulation

    Herbs

    Castor Oil

    Acupressure

  3. I'm 39 weeks pregnant and I have been walking every night and drinking raspberry leaf tea for the past 2 weeks with no results! Guess she'll come when she's ready! :)

  4. I was overdue.  We tried:

    s*x...nothing.

Nipple stimulation...a few contractions, then they died down.

    Spicy food...heartburn.

    Walking...nothing.

I didn't try castor oil, because I didn't want to have diarrhea in labor!  There were also herbal teas, but I was scared to use them, in case they'd hurt the baby.  Anyway, I finally went into labor as I slept at 41.5 weeks.  I guess she just wanted to take her time!

  5. I went a week overdue.

On my due date I walked four miles.  We had lots of *hem* and I even did jumping-jacks :)

I drank ALL the right teas (raspberry leaf and another one I can't remember right now)

    ANYTHING!

I wouldn't even efface or dilate.

I think someone up there laughs at our attempts at natural induction.

I read recently that what causes labor to start is a hormone released by the baby when the lungs are fully mature.  Like a timer going off it sets off everything.  I really don't think that natural induction works unless there's something 'ready' about the baby.

I hope this next one is earlier!  Good luck with yours.

  6. I did castor oil with both of mine.

5 days before my due date with my daughter

at 36 weeks with my son ( he has already tried to come early and had steroid shots to develop his lungs.. so the docs. said he was good to go)

worked like a charm both times. With my daughter I mixed it with orange juice.. NASTY

with my son I made a milk shake.. alot better tasting and worked within 2 hours!! I made one for my friend too and it worked after 3hours for her. My hubbys cousin did it as well and it worked..

for the milk shake just mix a few heaping scoops of ice cream, and cup of milk, 3 tablespoons, castor oil , and a BIG squirt of flavored syrup (choc. hides the flavor best) , blend and CHUG!!!

A lot of ppl think castor oil is dangerous , but plenty of doctores actually suggest it to incduce labor. I suggest talking with your doc. first to see if it would be okay for you and your baby. Everyone is different and if your body is ready to go into labor , it will work. If you are over due or very close and uncomfortable, ask your doctor about stripping your membranes in combination with the castor oil!

hope this helps. .. be blessed!

  7. Just from what I've heard, none of those methods really work unless the baby is ready (in which case you'd go into labor anyway). Anyway I'm 37 weeks now and I've tried walking (not to induce labor, just for exercise) and it does cause painful contractions. However, these contractions don't last for more than a few hours. So basically, I put myself in a lot of pain for nothing. Occasionally an o****m will also give me painful contractions, but again, they don't last for more than a few hours.

  8. I did nipple stimulation, s*x, and evening primrose oil.  I was 39wks5days when my water finally broke.
