I know eating plenty of fibre is good for you if you have a high cholesterol count but..?

every time I eat fibre of any kind,eg porridge,wholemeal bread,I get tummy ache and feel unwell.Can anyone advise me what I could eat instead?

  1. You should check if you are celiac, i.e. gluten sensitive.  


  2. fruit has fibre in it... try prunes.  

  3. A very good way to get your body used to the idea of fibre is to start with a glass of Metamucil either first thing in the morning or right before bed. Some people work up to 3 glasses per day however, if you are just starting out then this would be a bad idea. Fibre shouldn't hurt your tummy but sometimes when you are just starting to introduce high volumes of fibre into your system this can happen.

    Metamucil is a powder form of fibre that you mix with water or juice. It comes flavoured or flavourless and is an excellent recomendation for anybody of any age or s*x.

    I drink fibre daily and it is a very good way to get your body working properly and to help create an over all healthier lifestyle.

    If you try to do this for 2 weeks or so and then try to re-introduce the other solid food forms it may work out better for you.
