  1. Same concept, you want to make sure the rider is safe in case of spills, dropped rope, any other kind of trouble.

  2. Yes, it is a good idea to have that spotter and flag, because people fall off of tubes just like they fall off of skis :) safety is always important on the water!

  3. Its a good idea. I have fallen off the tube and gotten hurt

  4. yes you need a spotter everytime someone gets out of your boat and gets into the water.

  5. I would agree that there isn't much difference between pulling a tube or pulling a skier.. Put yourself in the position of the tuber.. would YOU want a spotter in case you fell off of the tube, or would you prefer the driver just go and assume you're still hanging on?

  6. I would.  They could still fall off and you don't want to lose them.

  7. YES YES YES. Especially if you have a sheriff on the lake that you are tubing on. They will pull you over and ticket you if you do not have a spotter. And, I have a friend that has been run over by a speedboat. This is a horrible horrible thing to go through and if you tube without a spotter, you risk someone falling off and not knowing it. With boats carlessly driving around, this could end with tradgedy. Pleaseeeeeeee have a spotter.
