but do they have free college n study for freign students like american ones?

  1. State universities (still) don't charge tuition fees from ALL STUDENTS, foreign and German alike. There is a small administrative fee that changes from one State to another (Germany is a federal republic and there are 16 states).

    Som,e of the states are now contemplating on introducing fees. There are already tuition fees in some cases:

    - Some programmes like MBAs or programmes in English in German univeristies

    - Some sorts of students, for example students that are lagging behind too much with their studies.

    - And, of course, this is all true only to State universities. If you go to some private place you have to pay.


  2. Your knowledge about the free college is getting old now.

    Germany is just in the process of introducing study fees for German and foreign students alike. In the discussion are 500€ per semester. That's a thing of the states so it's different from university to university. There are still places without fees.

    And if it's free for Germans then it's free for foreigners.
