...anyone a fan of the saxophone stylings of kenny g?

my parents have one of his cd's and they always used to listen to him, and they've gotten away from it now...i happened to hear one of his songs today and realized just how talented a musician this guy is, regardless of the general style that he plays

so, any other fans? maybe?

  1. Yea, His really good!

I prefer John Coltrane though, You should check him out :-)

  2. I consider that smooth jazz.

Not particularly my interest - but if it was on the Radio - it's "soothing" & listenable :)

    .

  3. that guy is pretty amazing..

i played tenor sax back in high school and my section leader was a huge fan of his.. so i ended up listening to a bit from him..

    i definitely respect his skill..

  4. Yeah, I like him well enough ~ I think of him as Jazz Lite, but good Jazz Lite ;-)

  5. I did like his first two CDs a lot, he had some great compositions and besides being a virtuoso he was the kind of musician who was first class in concert. I saw him once and it was mind blowing.

After that it kind of got repetitive and too commercial and the typical holiday album was mediocre.

    Fave song and album: SILHOUETTE

  6. Heh.Since you know he's not rock or pop or anything of the kind, why don't you post the question to another section?(e.g Jazz?)

I know I'm not really contributing, but you are going to have a much better chance of getting an answer if you do that.

edit::Ok.I feel a bit like an idiot now:P.
