I WOULD SAY THAT YOU HAVE MISREAD HIM TOTALLY AS HE BOWLS BOTH THE DELIVERIES i.e. LEG SPIN MOSTLY WITH FEW WRONG ONES , STRAIGHT ONES , FLIPPERS ,ETC.......AND OFF SPIN WHICH HE BALLS RARELY ...........

HE ALSO HAS A SKITING BALL AS WELL  AS A VERY  QUICK BALL....................

IF YOU SAY HE IS A OFF SPINER THEN  I  WOULD SAY WATCH  THAT  WATCH THE WICKET OF YUVRAJ....................

Mendis is the author of a new delivery - the Carrom Ball. Since the Doosra, the Carrom Ball is the latest addition to the cricket lexicon.

To bowl a "carrom ball" in cricket, the ball is held between the thumb, forefinger and the middle finger, and instead of a regular release, the ball is squeezed out/ flicked by the fingers like a Carrom player flicking the disc on a Carrom Board. It could result in an off-break, a leg-break, a googly or even a zooter.

he uses middle finger for imparting jerk to the ball to spin wrong one ! its called as carom push !

hehehehe oh man u solve the mystery of mendis.. every one knows that what he bowls. but problem is that how any one knows that hes bowl leg spin and off spin. that kind of similar action to bowl two different bowls/. if u know.well and distinguish all deliveries of him u can play in indian team.

Mendis, bowls a mixture of deliveries, including googlies, off-breaks top-spinners, flippers and leg-breaks, as well as a Carrom Ball, released with a flick of his middle finger.
