soaponification occurs when the right amounts of lye, liquid(water or milks) and oils (any combination of oils - olive, canola, coconut, peanut ect.) are mixed together - I do not know what amounts of  which oils, and  liquid  and lye your current recipe calls for but you can use as lye calculator to create endless recipies using different oils and different amounts. The lye calculator will help you determine the amount of oils (based on sap values), lye and liquid you need to make a usable bar(s) of soap
