I know how women feel about a man in uniform, but what about a woman in uniform?

I am a 27 yr old female in the Army Guard. I was active Army for about 6 years. I am a correctional officer on the civilian side. I have been wearing a uniform for 8 plus years. At times I feel respected and privileged to wear the uniform. Other times I feel like everyone is staring at me because they are confused or for reason beyond my comprehension.

Finding a man can be difficult as well. Is it intimidating, or just unattractive. People have been surprised when I tell them I am in the military. I guess they picture a butch-type woman.

Just wantintg some honest answers to what really goes on in your mind when you see a female in uniform.
