I know it is an ongoing question, but do you think the Princess Diana accident was really an accident.?

I was watching a program last night and got the impression that it was Dodi they were after. The bodyguard Trevor Rhys Jones should have been MORE vigilant that Henri Paul spent the evening getting sloshed!!!! So sad

  1. As you believed what you watched on television was the truth, does it matter what anyone else says here? You will believe what you want to and asking others is silly because you will only believe what you want By the way, I believe it was an accident, just like the thousands of car accidents that happen each year with a drunk driver and people who will not wear seat belts

  2. The official explaination supports Pricess Daina's death as an accident. However, there are some plausable theories that give credence to an assassination. You could refer to the theories put forward in A Rough Guide To Conspiracy Theories, which summarises many of the widely known Conspiracy Theories.

  3. We live in a world, where for every major event in the news or in history, there is a mountain of conspiracy theorists.

There are also good quality investigations by serious people, with access to powerful resources.  Most of the reports of the investigations are dull and dry.

The conspiracy theorists manage to take center stage, because they can change their facts any way they please to make their stories seem more interesting and entertaining.

TV is much more in the entertainment business than the education business, so we can expect conspiracy theories to far outwaigh factual reports there.

I recognize that government cover-ups, such as incompetence, does go on, but I believe that is more practical when the topic is not high profile, and is limited to a small number within only one government.

Interest in Diana's demise is just too widespread for any real conspiracy to stay covered up.

I am rather disgusted with the level of smear jobs going on with the conspiracy theorists.

If Diana's accident had been in a commercial aircraft, the investigation may have led to some changes in how things are done to make future accidents less likely.

    * There were problems with the vehicle maintenance record.  Had those records been made available to the car's occupants, they might not have been using that flawed vehicle.

    * There were problems with the driver on drugs and alcohol.  Had the driver been sober, the accident might not have happened.

    * There were problems with occupants not wearing seat belts.  Had Diana been wearing seat belt, she would still be alive today.

    * There were problems with photographers permitted to make driving much more hazardous.  If photographers, of famous people, were required to obey the traffic laws that apply to everyone else, and that was enforced, Diana would still be alive today.

Oh yes, it was an accident, but avoidable so many ways.

  4. no way on this earth was it an accident

    it was murder

  5. No, I don't think it was an accident and I also don't think it was Dodi they were after either--it was Diana they were after.  My father works with forensics and he's always been convinced that Henri Paul's blood alcohol level was never as high as what the news first said.  I saw the same program Friday night and a video footage that was filmed right before the accident showed a very straight Henri Paul and he didn't appear to be drunk.  And it was also mentioned that news report came out before the tox screening on him was evening done.

I am more convinced now that the royal family had it planned because they never approved of the way Diana did things or the way she raised William & Harry and the influence she had over them.  When Queen Elizabeth finally did make a statement a few days later (after being urged to make one) you could tell by her expression that she did not want to make it.

  6. I have no idea, and have notreally followed the story to even come to a reasonable conclusion.
