I know it was a while ago now but who else remembers the story about Jerry Collins playing for Barnstable 2nds

What a great story and a true professional. He coached their under fourteen side, paid his match fees, bought himself a new pair of boots and turned out for a local clubs second team match. He even toned down his level of play for the occasion, even so he scored a try and made three try saving tackles.

What a guy! Shame we won't be seeing him play for the All Blacks anymore.

I remember that story.  I saw it on Sports Tonight.

As a Rugby fan, I am disappointed he won't be playing for the All Blacks.  But as an Australian, I'm thrilled.

Scary man and awesome player.  I wish he was an ACT Brumby

jerry collins  was old school  he was probably the last of the last  no other  international profesional rugby player would do that for a club team not without some form of exposore or financial agreement it sucks hes gone  we've lost our human wrecking machine so the next time we get a sebastion chabal running around injuring all our all blacks who will rise up to stop him??? just looking at the squad they picked theres no real wrecker in the team

Yea my mate is from barnstable and when he told me i didnt believe him!

But then he showed me some videos on his phone of him and also for a barbarian game a month or so back he was wearing barnstable socks

Apparently hes knocked up his girlfriend who lives in devon which is why he was down there
