  1. Astrology Readings: What it is all about

Astrology readings chart the positions of stars, planets, and the moon in the twelve Zodiac signs, as a means to predict the future. Employing the Zodiac sign under which your birth date falls, astrology readings are used in foretelling events in relation to the planetary positions. “The belief in, and practice of Astrology has become the most common of occult practices and deceptively appears to be spiritually benign in the eyes of most people. A recent survey estimated that over 50 million Americans read their horoscopes every morning to learn what they should expect, and how they should behave that day. A daily horoscope is found in virtually every newspaper across this country,” writes Zenith Harris Merrill.

Most occultists use Astrology and many astrologers practice other occult arts. Both Astrologers and occultists admit that Astrology is a pillar of occultism.” The astrologer, Sepharial, is quoted by Dr. John Ankerberg and John Weldon in The Facts on Astrology, as saying "The astrologic art is held to be the key to all the occult sciences."

Some astronomers admit that Astrology is an occult practice. In An ABC of Witchcraft Past and Present, witch Doreen Valiente observes that "Astrology . . . is another of the fundamentals of magic. It is studied by witch and magician alike.

Science writer and engineer Lawrence Jerome, in Astrology Disproved declares that of all the occult "sciences," astrology appears most scientific, but is really nothing more than a magical system for controlling others, "and has played a role in the magical ‘sciences’" alchemy, black magic, the conjuring of spirits, necromancy, and even in the magical practices such as the use of talismans."

Astrology Readings: The harm and consequences

The Bible tells us in Deuteronomy 18:10-11, “Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead.” In verse 14 He says, “The nations you will dispossess listen to those who practice sorcery or divination. But as for you, the LORD your God has not permitted you to do so.”

Astrology rejects many biblical teachings God wrote into it, and instead adheres to occultic views which give the worship and glory to God’s creation rather than to God alone. We need to look to God alone for guidance in our daily lives. God directs us without the fallible charts of occultic beliefs. If you have been involved in occultism in any way -- even just reading your horoscope -- leave it alone, walk away from it. Repent of any association with all facets of the occult. It is sin and an abomination to God. Ask God’s forgiveness. He will and will lead you into truth (Romans 10:13, 1 John 1:8, 9; John 1:12; Romans 6:23).

  2. That is probably of equal importance to whether or not your fortune cookies like you believing in gods.

  3. Yes He does disapprove of it.

  4. No God doesn't approve of that; the Bible says fortune tellers, psychics are false prophets.

  5. If your god is the kind who wants you to use the brain he gave you, then yeah.  If he's the other kind (read: if you are a fundie), then knock yourself out.  Believing in astrology and other new-age nonsense isn't any more ridiculous than believing the earth is six thousand years old.

  6. Reading it no, applying it could be.

  7. Only in that it puts your faith in your knowledge of tomorrow. rather than relying on him.

  8. Yes

God does disapprove horoscope readings. It's FAKE and is just another of Satan's tricks.Doing this can bring spirits home since its there doing. So i recommend that you don't.

  9. The Bible says: “In case there should be found in your midst in one of your cities that Jehovah your God is giving you a man or a woman who should practice what is bad in the eyes of Jehovah your God so as to overstep his covenant, and he should go and worship other gods and bow down to them or to the sun or the moon or all the army of the heavens, a thing that I have not commanded, and it has been told you and you have heard it and have searched thoroughly, and, look! the thing is established as the truth, this detestable thing has been done in Israel! you must also bring that man or that woman who has done this bad thing out to your gates, yes, the man or the woman, and you must stone such one with stones, and such one must die.”—Deuteronomy 17:2-5.

Why does God detest using the sun, moon, and stars as omens? First, it goes against his purpose in having created them. (Genesis 1:14-18) We are to look to the Creator, not the created, for guidance. (Romans 1:25)

Second, God is to occupy a unique place in our life. The worship of him is to be shared with no other person or thing. (Deuteronomy 4:24) A person could rely so much on his horoscope that the thin line between dependence and worship may be crossed.

Third, it could open the door to occultism. And dabbling in the occult could make an unsuspecting person an easy target for the supernatural force behind occultism—the demons. (Compare Deuteronomy 18:9-12; Isaiah 47:12-14; Acts 16:16-18.) To prevent our getting dangerously involved with horoscopes, God provides us with something better, his word. (2 Tim 3:16,17)

  10. I wouldn't.  It's all fake.  In the bible, those who used to practice magic arts, when convicted by God, burned all their "scrolls".  It's nonsense, why even read it?

  11. Well god probably doesn't exist and if he does then he's meant to be a great guy and all so i'm sure he won't be tight enough to chuck you in h**l over that.

  12. I would have thought so, yes.

  13. My answer is in the form of a question to those that say yes to this:  If he created the stars, why would he disapprove of reading things from them?

  14. Reading, no.  Believing in them, maybe!

  15. He disapproves of anything fun and harmless

  16. Why don't you ask him yourself see what the dude has to say.  From where I'm sitting, it really doesn't look like he gives a rat's a$$

  17. god can only disapprove if god exists.

  18. Yes indeed.  To put faith in anything or anyone but God for your "fortune" is an insult to God.

  19. horoscopes and the belief in them is a false god .

People sadly follow them to their own destruction

  20. Yes he does

    t

  21. Only if they're right.

  22. I really doubt God cares much about that.

  23. Horoscopes don't tell your future or what's going to happen. God does. So, yes, God does disprove it. It's like saying "God, you don't know what my future is, so, i'll look to the stars and ask them".

God is the only one who knows your future or what will happen with you. Stars don't.

  24. Sure he does.  I used to be into horoscopes.  Then slowly but surely they proved to be rubbish.

  25. Dan 2:10 The Chaldeans answered before the king, and said, There is not a man upon the earth that can shew the king's matter: therefore [there is] no king, lord, nor ruler, [that] asked such things at any magician, or astrologer, or Chaldean.

    BUT DANIEL DID IT!

  26. IDK, but any sensible person does.

  27. According to Christian Scriptures, He does. But your own common sense should tell you that fortune-telling is a money racket. No matter how convincing it may 'seem' to appear. Enjoy what you have now, because God only knows what the future will bring!

  28. Yes it is wrong to read your horoscopes. It is one of the tricks of the Enamy to gain control of you.

For example in the extreme. You read your scope everyday. Then one day it says "Dont go out or death is eminate". So now you are scared to leave your house all because the enamy has convinced you your life is in danger. Now he has control of you through fear.
