i dont want to be an accomplice either.

they are illegal in most states if not all. and in some places the balisong (butterfly knife) is illegal as well. and they're both all but useless for anything but fighting anyway.

there are legal quick open folding knives however. look up cold steel, or sog knives.

most people think the knife with the blade that swings out from the side is a switchblade. that's not true. that's called a jack knife. a switchblade opens straight out of the end and slides straight back into the handle. They are highly illegal in all states. if you want a good knife for defense get a tactical folding knife.they have a combat based design and are legal. go to eknifeworks.com and select tactical from the right side and search for buck knives. you can get a very good buck tactical for $20.00 U.S. dollars. I have about 50 knives I collected. the buck is prefect. I carry it on me.

Online stores but id buy a balisong (butterfly knife) instead because there is a fighting style based around it and they look cool. Y do you want a switchblade?
